OLDBURY LOCAL HISTORY GROUP

Oldbury Local History Group was started in 1998 at Oldbury Library to provided a forum for exchanging reminiscences of life in Oldbury and Rounds Green. These were collected into the book 'Old-time Oldbury', published in 2000. [The book is no longer in print, but can be viewed as an Adobe Acrobat file.]

Oldbury Local History Group acts as the publisher for local history books produced by the other local history societies in the area.

Meetings are held bi-monthly on the third Tuesday at 2.30pm at Oldbury Library, Jack Judge House, Halesowen Street, Oldbury. This is a recent change in meeting frequency. They usually take the form of presentations on Oldbury history by group members or outside speakers.

Therefore, the programme for 2017 is:

  May 16th
  July 18th
  September 19th
  November 21st

There is no formal membership, and all are welcome. Meetings are free.
